Yesterday's hits, today's favorites
At Radio Crescendo you can enjoy the best and most fun pop music of all time, non-stop and in crystal-clear sound. We put extra focus on the ’90s, but we don’t believe in fixed music formats that only play songs from before the year 2000. As if artists stopped making great music after that. We believe music is timeless, which is why you’ll also hear today’s hits.
We understand that certain decades hold a special place in people’s hearts. That’s why we have an 80s-themed program on Sunday morning and a 90s special on Saturday morning. It’s all about enjoying the memories. You do that better than we ever could, so we let the music speak for itself. These programs are fully non-stop.
On Saturday evenings from 6pm, we turn up the energy with The Party Playlist. The perfect soundtrack for a great night.
The stream is from TorontoCast with a SOCAN license.
Why do we say “Cresśendo”?
Crescendo is an Italian word from classical music, meaning growing — a gradual increase in volume. A beautiful image, and one we like.
But… we’re not a classical music station. We play pop — from the 70s to today. So we use the word with a wink. The proper pronunciation (cruh-shen-doh) is elegant, sure. But in our station imaging, “Cresśendo” just sounds better. A bit cheeky? Maybe. But it fits our vibe: fresh, musical, and just a little different.
